I've started the process of texturing this model.
At this point I've got diffuse, bump, spec and gloss maps on everything and they all need refining to the point where it looks right. The lighting is the same setup as the earlier WIP. I'm liking the head but the neck and legs need a lot of work. You can see where I've started detailing the bump map on the shell but haven't gotten the whole way through yet.

ReplyDeleteWow, that looks amazing. Just curious, do you ever check your comments? 'Cause if you did, you'd have seen my annoyingness at work already, and therefore would have CHECKED OUT MY BLOGS!!! Anyway, to keep the annoying-you-until-you-check-out-my-blogs thing...PLEASE CHECK OUT MY BLOGS, AND FOLLOW ME!!!
ReplyDeleteAnnoy ya later, Miss Eccentric.
Hey, in what program do you texture it?
ReplyDeleteReally really cool, although there isn't too much consistency in the colours throughout him. HIs back leg is quite red, his neck is yellow, under his head is green. Would work better if the back leg was more yellow to match the underneath colour of the neck. His head looks almost real. One of your best for sure. Specular looks weird, and spotty. I wouldnt imagine there too reflective.
ReplyDeleteLeo - I used photoshop for all the texture work on this model. Some masks were painted in ZBrush.
ReplyDeleteJono - Agreed on all points. The back legs I havent really started working on apart from chucking on a grungy colour map.
Miss Eccentric - I check all the comments. I will follow blogs that have something to do with visual arts and 3D graphics. Your blog has no relevance to me so I won't read it. Please stop commenting.
Hey, no problem man. My annoyance doesn't work on everybody. But hey, at least I tried, right? I won't bug you anymore.
ReplyDeleteSweet job on the texture. You really make me want to pick up Z-Brush :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's looking fantastic! Great job!
